Bloomfield House

Berkeley Place was appointed to restore and transform Bloomfield House, one of Bath’s most significant Grade II Listed residences and formerly the home of the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Bath. The project returned the property from a tired guest house to an elegant and luxurious eight-bedroom family home, carefully balancing heritage conservation with contemporary and luxurious living.

Internally, the project included major structural alterations, elegant new Georgian-style staircases and the creation of a bespoke basement wine cellar. Sophisticated building services and discreet engineering solutions were integrated to improve comfort, energy performance and long-term sustainability without compromising the property’s historic character.
